Much painting and flocking etc. to be done now that the canal has arrived. No idea how to paint the water yet.

Piddling-Snodsbury Canal Update
The navvies who have been causing so much trouble of late in
the Bull and Bush (which is praised highly in the Automobile Guide) at Market
Snodsbury have completed the first section of canal including two locks to
start the climb towards Much-Piddling. Once they start drinking in the
Cock-Dropper's Arms at Great Snoring of an evening, we may have to call on the
services of our local bobby, P.C. Eustace Oates from the Totleigh-in-the-Wold
police station. He should be able to quell any disturbances to the peace of
this bucolic paradise!

Good start with the canal, just as long as the water is not bright blue and don't forget the Tesco trollies. Hum maybe before Tesco so don't forget the prams, I know you have one attached to a nanny, she could be in the canal as well I suppose.
Yes, this is from a TBT (Time Before Tesco)! I used to spend all my holidays on various canals and you would not believe the sort of shite I frequently had to cut away from the prop, particularly going through Manchester and Birmingham. Not sure I want Nanny McPhee in the canal though!
Great Scott, old boy, that's a whopper you've got there, and the canal's pretty big as well. Did you make all that or is it a commercial set? Either way, impressive. I think you should model the Caen Hill Locks at Devizes - that'd keep you busy for a while:

I don't envy your past canal life - cutting Mancunians away from the prop must have been unspeakable.
How much canal are you planning, by the way? That looks a big layout you've got there - excellent work.
